Efficient aggregation of cultural heritage information has long been a “holy grail” for information professionals.  Developments over the past few years have made this dream into the reality for many institutions and collaborations.  Andrew Gunther will give us a behind the scenes look at the making of the Smithsonian's Collection Search Center: 





Andrew Gunther, Smithsonian Institution

Andrew Gunther has been working in the field of museums, libraries and archives for over 13 years. He is currently the lead developer for the services comprising the Smithsonian's Enterprise Digital Asset Network (EDAN). Before coming to the Smithsonian, Andrew was the Manager of Digital Information and Visual Resources for the Harvard University Art Museums. Andrew holds a Masters degree in Information Science from Pratt Institute and a Bachelors degree in Art History from the University of Massachusetts.
